Children’s Fall Lantern Festival
The Temple of Kwan Tai and The Community Foundation of Mendocino County would like the children who are interested to decorate and make a lantern. After their lantern is made, please drop it off at a Lantern Drop-Off box at CV Starr, CCM, school office of Dana Gray Elementary, school office of Redwood Elementary or the school office of Mendo K-8.
Lanterns to be hung at: Gallery Bookshop, Out of This World, Circa, Color Mill, Lost Coast Found, Ford House, Bead Shop and more...
If your child would like an activity sheet, you can get one at CV Starr or the Temple of Kwan Tai (Sat 12-3 PM or Sun 11-2 PM).
Notes on the lantern making: Be careful of the pages if they're stapled-separate them gently otherwise you may rip the paper in haste and if you don't have tape or a stapler, we can do that for you. Every child participating will receive a ribbon from the Temple the weekend of 10/23 or 10/30 during our docent hours Sat 12-3 PM and Sun 11-2 PM.
